Noise nuisance

The current situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) means people are at home more. As you might expect, you may hear more day to day living noise, such as children playing, voices, DIY or music, than you would usually hear. We appreciate your tolerance and patience during this period but also ask you to be mindful of how you might impact on your neighbours.

These are unprecedented times and we will need to work together to get through this period.

If there is anything you feel unable to resolve by talking to your neighbours, you can report your concerns to LB Newham’s Enforcement and Safety Team on 020 8430 2000. They take calls 24 hours a day.  Please let us know if you have any concerns about noise nuisance or other anti-social behaviour, or if you have contacted LB Newham to register a complaint or concern.

If you are worried about the safety of a neighbour please call the police or, where appropriate, the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247 – They are open 24/7.

Concerns about lack of social distancing

It can be a cause for concern when you see people gathering across the Village. EVML have taken some steps to reduce socialising in public spaces, such as closing play spaces. The security team are unable to enforce the government’s advice about social distancing or staying at home.  If you are concerned about a group of people congregating in public or in communal spaces, you can report your concerns to the local police service or to LB Newham’s Enforcement and Safety Team on 020 8430 2000. They take calls 24 hours a day.

The police are requesting you report any concerns online here
