Complete Neighbourhood

East Village will provide essential new homes for Londoners, as well as everything that you would expect to find in a thriving London neighbourhood. A range of new community facilities for residents and the wider local area will be available to make this a great place to live in the heart of east London. Anyone moving to the Village will find a complete neighbourhood with everything they need in one place.

The world-class education campus, Chobham Academy, will incorporate a nursery, primary and secondary school, providing 1,800 places for students aged 3-19. In addition, adult learning services and a sports facility for the Academy and wider community will provide opportunities for all.

The state-of-the-art medical centre is set to offer a full range of healthcare services run by NHS Newham, including multiple GP surgeries, outpatient activity, physiotherapy services, a children's clinic, diagnostic facilities and other healthcare facilities such as dentistry, optometry and ancillary services.

There is space for thirty local, independent shops, cafes and offices which will further contribute to the wealth of convenient community services, and also provide opportunities for employment.

A Community Development Trust is being established to oversee these facilities, and will receive a £1 million endowment to own and develop the community facilities at the Village. Triathlon Homes is working closely with the Olympic Delivery Authority to ensure this Trust is effective and representative of all community interests to ensure the long-term legacy of the site after 2012.

And of course the Village is in close proximity to Westfield Stratford City, one of the largest new retail developments in the UK, and Queen Elizabeth Park and the the location of top sporting venues and acres of parks and gardens.
