Private undercroft parking
There are parking spaces in the undercroft beneath each block at East Village. The undercroft parking spaces are limited and will be allocated first to residents who meet the parking allocation priority groups (Blue Badge holders, wheel chair users, families with two children under the age of 10 and essential car users).
There is a weekly charge for these parking bays. If you are not successful in being allocated a parking bay when you move into East Village, you can be added to the waiting list, although demand will exceed supply and there is likely to be a long wait for available spaces. Just send us an email to be added to the waiting list.
Entry to the undercroft parking areas is via fob-controlled gates. The undercroft car park also has 24hour CCTV and each bay will be numbered and residents allocated with a parking bay will be issued with a parking permit.
Street parking for residents and visitors
There is an East Village Resident Parking Zone (RPZ) enforced between 8am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday. Only residents with Newham Council East Village permits are able to park their cars in most ‘on-street bays’ around East Village.
Permit applications are open to East Village residents only and can be made on the “My Newham” section of www.newham.gov.uk. Without this particular Newham Council-issued East Village permit on display, a Penalty Charge Notice will be issued by Newham Council. Please contact the Council directly for more information about the permits or fines. The Council will continue to enforce against illegal parking e.g. parking on double yellow lines, even if the vehicle has a resident permit.
Sunrise Close, Napa Close, Logan Close and Scarlet Close are exempt from the RPZ as these roads are privately owned. Illegal parking here will continue to result in ticketing by East Village Management’s Parking Enforcement Company. Residents of these roads can however still apply for Newham Council-issued East Village permits to park within the East Village RPZ.
Secure bike storage
There are a number of secure bike storage facilities in each building. They are accessed by secure fob and are free of charge. If you would like one of these, please contact the team.
